About

.

Hi, my name is Jon Carpenter, principal photographer at JLC Photography which I run with my wife Louise (and daughter Sophie) and I have been providing beautiful wedding photography and fun family portraits for over 10 years.
I specialise in weddings and family portrait photography because as a family we love family moments and believe they are of huge importance and part of who we are.  Family moments are very precious - a new baby, christening, your children growing up and changing so fast, heading off to University and of course weddings when the whole family get together to celebrate one of the most special days of a couple's life.  All captured moments and beautiful memories for all the family to share which later become treasured by future generations.  I have sat with my daughter and flicked through the photos in her albums and seen the response and joy ~ I firmly believe that the albums, prints and wall art I produce today will still have parents and their children recalling great family moments and smiling at them 20 years from now.

Personally I have only a couple of photos of my grandparents which I treasure and they are mine because I took them on my first camera practising photography as a child so I understand the importance of capturing a precious family moment (like the one above of my family which hangs on my wall).

Why have a professional photographer rather than a friend or family member ~ I have some stories I could tell you or I could talk about the interaction or clarity and lighting or access to quality professional products or how I take care of your digital files from the moment they are taken ~ let me just say I have lost count of the number of times I have been asked for a copy of a photo I took years before, one that wasn't considered important at the time but is a priceless family moment now ~ but the real reason to choose a professional photographer is because your photography is important to you, far too important to leave to chance.

Why choose me?:

- Beautiful photography from a qualified photographer
I hold my Licentiateship in Photography awarded by the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers using an experienced and highly qualified panel of judges chosen from senior members of the photographic industry.

- Long and established track record
Over 10 years providing wedding photography at numerous locations across Cambridgeshire and portrait photography both in studio and on location

- Wonderful range of quality products
Chosen for their beauty and quality and built/printed using the very latest technology to ensure they last long into the future

- Professional, friendly service along with our family ethos

- Speed of Service
After your photos are taken you will be so excited to see them ~ I won't leave you waiting for months to see your images I offer you the opportunity to view your wedding images just after you return from your honeymoon and portrait images within around 7 days of your session.

If you want a photographer who understands how important great photography is to you then you should really give me a call

Love what you see, want to know more?
